Centenary
| Our global centenary celebrations are now well under way! What have you done to celebrate during 2010 (under the theme of ‘Plant’) and what do you still have planned to do in 2011 (‘Grow’) and 2012 (‘Share’)? If you want to find out what’s going on around the world, or if you want to add your own ideas, please visit the centenary section. |
Many events and celebrations have been taking place in the Western Hemisphere Region during 2010, from the New Year’s event at Our Cabaña, followed by the Central American Gathering also at Our Cabaña and Guiding challenges in Canada. Have a look at all the details on our special centenary page and check out what events took place on 10 April.
The 2011 centenary activity pack is now available to download and will help you take part in activities under the new theme ‘Grow’. You can also download the new ‘Grow’ 2011 celebration posters and let everybody know about the celebrations!
Don’t forget to register for the Young Women’s World Forum 2011, a unique event for young women from each of our Member Organizations addressing the UN Millennium Development Goals which will take place simultaneously in the four World Centres in March 2011. The deadline to register for the 2011 event is 19 November. This will be followed by one more forum for girls and young women in 2012.
