Central American Gathering for leaders- Day 1

The participants received information on WAGGGS from Perla Casco herself, the Vice-President of the Western Hemisphere, as well as details on the forthcoming World Conference and the region in general. There was also an introduction to the project 'Young Girl Scout Ambassadors,' an initiative which the WH Committee will focus on in 2008 in order to comply with goal 3: The voice of girls and young women.

Featuring that day was a presentation on World Centres by Vicky Gagliano, Deputy World Centre manager at Our Cabaña, where she informed the audience on its operation, programmes, scholarship system, and explained the advantages and options for volunteer applicants to Our Cabaña and other World Centres.
