Day 3
“The right to work together”
“The right to work together” was their main tool. Participants had not been told they would be working with girls who had special needs. In addition the sessions they had planned had been done in small groups comprised of participants from many different countries, cultures and educational programmes.
All the activities were a great success. The girls, young women and adults greatly enjoyed sharing, growing and developing using the GG/GS Method.
Integral evaluation
Session ended with an integral evaluation comprised of self-evaluation, team evaluation and peer group, target group and facilitators’ evaluation. This gave all the opportunity to see the process in its entirety.
Results of the evaluation were that previously-held ideas were changed and that there was confidence in the achievements of others.
In addition, the module on “Learning resources for adult training in the Educational Programme” was presented, focusing on how to train leaders/Guiders in the junior, intermediate and senior branches. The aim was to provide useful tools in delivering the Educational Programme in the Associations and to achieve uniformity and consistency in both girl and adult development.
At the close of the session, participants were informed that on the following day they would be asked to prepare model sessions for the training of adults based on what they had learned so far during the workshop.
