Day 2
Through working with learning objectives and developing a greater understanding of progressive self-development, the participants continued on their adventure towards “fixing their airplane” and putting the pieces together in the Educational programme.
Like the pilot in the Little Prince who was able to work on all parts of his airplane in order to make it work again, the participants looked at each part of the educational programme and how it fit together so that they could create meetings for their girls and Guiders.
Lessons learned
Participants of the patrol Potente felt that they gained a great deal from the sessions throughout the day. Here is what they felt they could take from the sessions. - The importance of the inclusion all the developmental areas of the programme
- Enhanced our skills to develop strategies and activities to help girls move from one level to the next (Progressive Self Development)
- Tools for effective planning and delivery of programmes
- Settings priorities (Learning Objectives- intermediate and final)
- The importance of working with objectives
The day ended with an opportunity for participants to share their programme materials with one another. They were able to learn from one another and share resources to enhance their individual programmes.
