Day 6

Today we had children from the organization "Vamos" come to Our Cabaña. All the patrols planned something different for the children to do. These activities were about things that we had covered over the past week such as nutrition, AIDS, teenage pregnancy and discovering your potential.

The children were of varying ages from 10 to 17. All of them spoke Spanish and for those girls who only spoke English it was difficult to communicate with them, but somehow we all managed.

All of our activities went well and we all agreed that the children enjoyed the activities and learned from them. Some of the girls even wanted to know how to become involved with the Girl Guides of Mexico. I think this is pretty cool that those girls want to join Guiding because of this experience.
