Welcome to the 11th Western Hemisphere Conference, which took place in Toronto from 6 to 11 July 2007.
More than 125 delegates from 26 Member Organizations participated. There were also invited guests from the Olave Baden Powell Society, the World Centres, International Scouting and Guiding Fellowship (ISGF), the International Award Association and the International Catholic Conference of Guiding ICCG.
The best thing about the conference is building strong relations with other Member Organisations. Best of all though has been the injection of fresh energy to continue on with work at home.

The theme of the Conference was ‘Strength Through Diversity’. The Conference was an opportunity to take stock of the successes and challenges of the Western Hemisphere Region and to look ahead to the future to ensure the development of Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting.
